i don't know what to do. i remember when i came out to my mom as transmasc a while back. i no longer identify like that, however, my mom wasn't very... supportive? of me identifying as something that wasn't my assigned gender at birth. i feel like she wanted to be supportive, but couldn't do it. i told her i wanted to be a guy but one of her arguments were "but you aren't a guy! how do you know that you wanna be a guy if you don't know what it's like?" and "you didn't act like a guy as a kid, how do you know you're transgender?" i'd tell her that i felt bad having dysphoria and all and she just didn't understand. when i'd tell my mom that i wanted to be called by a different name, she got mad at me because "she picked my name for me, and me changing it was insulting". when my brother started calling me by my new name, my mom told him to stop because it was making her uncomfortable. i feel like when she's with non-family members that are trans, she's so supportive, but as soon
